Magnificent hotel with marvellous and awesome location and fairly clean throughout. Honest staff, tasteful, spotless room with a terrace, comfortable bed, as for instance. A wide range of food available in the lounge area.

Charming decor and a relaxing shower. The breakfast was a highlight, with delicious options like Belgian waffles. Although the narrow passageways created a cozy atmosphere, they might feel cramped for some. The location was excellent yet quiet, with several dining choices nearby.

good location for shops, centre and restaurants, quiet and no traffic noise, Value for money providing you are not looking for lots of services or extras. It would seem that the Rex hotel has been 'refubished' and the room and bathroom (the one we had) was new and airy.

Beware!!! they also own the Comprador, two doors down, which like the Rex is in an ideal location, etc, BUT is of a lower standard, we were put in there the first night in a room that was cramped, dark, and with a bathroom that only just worked. (we requested a move out or to move to another hotel - they granted the first, see above). It would also appear to be used by student groups, on very budget holidays, so noise and movement all the time. Do not get shunted down there book for the Rex only.

The staff provided great assistance making our stay enjoyable. The room had enough space for the three of us, and the breakfast spread was diverse.

The narrow passageways felt cramped at times, but it didn't overshadow our positive experience.

Whatever you do, don't stay at that place. It's a filthy dilapidated hole in the wall. One can easily find a clean decent hotel for the same amount of money in the Opera district.

The place was nightmarish. Full stop.
